I Am the Mother of an Angel- Poem

by My Forever Child

I am the mother of an angel….
I am the mother of an angel,
And many do not know,
That I bring my angel with me,
Everywhere I go. He sees me at my finest,
And when I’ve had the worst of days.
He puts blessing right in front of me,
In the simplest of ways.
A perfect little snowflake,
Or the sun shining in the sky,
Even raindrops falling down,
Or birds soaring way up high.
A precious tulip sprouting,
At the very sight of spring,
Are all gracious gifts from heaven,
that he never fails to bring,
I am thankful for his presence
In all the things I do,
I can’t help but remember every detail,
and here are just a few:
His soft blond hair,
And his tiny little cry
Holding his daddy’s hand as we were forced to say “good-bye”
Some see it as a tragedy,
How a loss can be so swift,
but to me, being the mother of an angel,
is a very special gift.

You are a Precious Child
Created out of love,
a blessing from above.
I've adored you from the start,
and your little footprints touched my heart.
